Usage of the word "daddy" as an honorific for women seems to have gained traction in our world and other similar subcultures. Particularly online where role play plays a big part, or as a playful or subversive twist for modern dommes. Daddy gangs springs to mind!
It’s not better than terms like "dominatrix," "goddess," "domme," "madam" or "mistress," but more about the vibe it carries. "Daddy" has a certain cheeky, confident energy especially in the younger findom circles. The new daddy gangs.

Obviously it's borrowed from its masculine roots but flipped into a female context. It’s less about literal meaning and more about attitude: a mix of authority, cheek, and a sneer at convention.
Terms like "goddess" evoke divinity and reverence, "domme" or "mistress" lean into power and control with precision. This is my old school wheel house. Nothing will outshine the classic honorifics that speak to power dynamics within female domination.

Terminology like "mommy" has a softer, nurturing edge. However, the mirror "daddy" does not have the same connotations, making "daddy" dommes mean and cruel!
My preference is for the female vernacular. "Daddy" applies to girls who might enjoy the linguistic flex. Trendy and bold, unexpected, and not for everyone, but it works for some. Power dynamics particularly within BDSM or dominant/submissive relationships. Data from social media shows "daddy" spiking in usage around 2015–2020.

In conclusion, our subculture BDSM uses "mistress" and "domme," powerful terms of female dominance, distinct from their male counterparts. The complexity of language within D/s relationships means defining the terms can carry different meanings based on context and personal experiences.
Personally, I love to learn. This new word has taken me down a path to enlightenment. Whilst I don't like "daddy", and would never use it, it has its place in the scene. With those that want to add to the culture, if with nothing but a word, oh and attitude!
